FAQ
Frequently Asked Questiions
Redding California wedding, engagement and portrait photographer inspired by authenticity and the outdoors. When not on a shoot, you’ll find Jack and his wife making memories and exploring. Based in Northern California. Available for travel.
Where Are You Based?
I’m based in the beautiful Northern California area (Redding) but I’m available for weddings worldwide. Travel within 100 miles is included. Any travel further will be an additional travel cost. Need to get me on a plane? Just cover my accommodation and airfare. I’ll check the current rates at the time of your wedding and estimate the fee accordingly. I can also book the travel arrangements.
How much are your packages?
$2400 – $4400. Shoot me a message. Let’s start a conversation and I can get you a link to all my pricing details.
How many images to you deliver?
I average 50 plus images per hour, curated, edited, and delivered from myself.
Can We Print From the Images Delivered?
Absolutely! Every package includes printing rights. The only limitation I place on the images is that they are not to be used for commercial purposes without our consent (you can’t sell them), and if you’re sending them on to your hairdresser/magazines, etc just let me know. The images are full-sized and don’t have my logo or anything else over them, so you’re good to go!
How Long Will It Be Before We Can See Our Pictures?
All of your images will be delivered and online within 4-12 weeks (depending on the time of year, but I average about a month’s turnaround), but there will be a sneak preview on my blog about a week after the wedding. Portrait shoot images are ready after one week.
Do You Shoot Digital Or Film?
I shoot mostly digital but have an option to add a few rolls of film if you would like ($100 per roll in addition to your digital images). These film images are scanned so you receive them via digital download, and they are added to your online gallery.
What Equipment Do I Use?
I shoot with Sony. My go-to lens is my 35mm f1.4 and 85mm f1.8. I may use a range of other zoom lenses as well. My film cameras include a Nikon FE with a 35mm 2.0 lens and a Yashica Electro 35 range finder, shooting mostly Portra 400. I’m a mac dude using a range of Adobe Products and VSCO.
Did You Study Photography In School?
Nope. I’m a self-taught photography nerd. I have been shooting since 2010.
